My name is Jay and I live in Bethlehem Pennsylvania located in the Lehigh Valley area of eastern PA just west of the NJ border. I am originally from Long Island, NY and I moved to the Lehigh Valley back in 2009 to get away from all the traffic and high cost of living back home. I really enjoy living in the Lehigh Valley and it has become a second home to me. Since I have moved here I have gotten married, had two children and put down roots here in Bethlehem. My professional background is in small to medium sized business management and sales. I have had successful tenures with companies that have over 10,000 employees and companies with 10 employees. I have had the good fortune to have always been a part of rapidly growing organizations with exponential sales growth. It was always fun to lead the winning team and it taught me a lot about running a business efficiently and the importance of being extremely organized. I also have a great deal of experience with interviews and being on both sides of the room. I have had to hire and dismiss employees throughout my career which requires a fair amount of interviewing in itself, but I have always been one who has tried to advance my own career and I have been on many interviews of my own. Most of the time I hit home runs on my interviews (although I may not have always gotten the job) but I struck out enough to learn some valuable lessons.
I began writing resumes about 15 years ago when a friend/colleague of mine got his resume professionally written. I was amazed at how much he was willing to pay for this service and I was impressed with the quality of the work. I needed a resume of my own but at the time I thought I couldn’t afford it. With my knowledge of grammar and writing skills I thought I could produce an equally good document, so the first resume I wrote was my own.
